Two teaspoons of inspiration.
"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, People may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, They may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway."

Realization.
I'm beginning to realize that I'm not being fair to myself. You know what? The irony is, I had to attend a 3-day workshop to realize that.
I allowed my past to define who I am today.
I realize that I wasn't there for myself. I wasn't there to fend for myself when people threw negative remarks at me. I wasn't there for myself when I knew those things were going to put me down later on in life. I've never been there from the start.
I've realized that it's not okay for anyone to talk sarcastically to me. I've realized it's not okay to allow people to joke about me.
I didn't know how these petty things affected my self-esteem so bad that it made me feel like shit.
Every single time people sneer at me I bow down and back off.
I allowed my past to define who I am today.
Sorry, I'm not that old Chien Huey anymore. I will not allow myself to go through those things again. I swear.

Half my holidays are gone.
So I'd skip all the boring stuff and tell you about the interesting ones. We had a successful carnival day two Saturdays ago, an extrememly busy one! [Right now I'm just going to blab about random stuff that runs through my head]
All I can say is: "Boo Pn. Yeong, Go 5S1!"
I'd have loved to blog more about it, but yeah, no pictures and mostly negative stuff in the beginning. But what an achievement we've made!
Note: PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN WAS BORING (kk stop throwing rotten eggs at me!)
Maybe because I was extremely tired that day that I couldn't enjoy the movie. :( OHOH the mermaids were the best part though! Since there were no hunks to look at.
Then Wednesday came by and I had to pack my bags and set off for Alor Star forrr... *drum rolls*
It stands for Bright Roving Annoying TeenagerS, a young journalist program sponsored by The Star Malaysia.
Haha it sounds so funny typing The Star Malaysia because I can practically hear myself saying that in my head after my name in that hilarious video!
To be honest, I didn't really know that we were going to learn about journalism. I thought that we would be split into groups depending on our talents and what we applied for. But noooo. We get to learn interview skills, writing skills, photography and videography all in the first two days of the workshop.
Haha well, it's good I guess. I get to learn how to write too!
Oh btw, BRATs totally changed my perspective on social networking! Haha. And inspired me to continue blogging. That's why this is the second post of the day!
I get to meet all the awesome people like Niki Cheong, the sarcastic yet funny editor of R.AGE, Ian Yee (who have been hugged by Lady Gaga), a columnist in R.AGE who mostly talks about football, Melody, a journalist who had interviewed the likes of Leornado DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and Jason Lioh the famous blogger and a very good photographer indeed!
Sorry, I still can't get over the hype that they've met all the famous celebrities.
We split into three teams, the WHATs which is short for Weird Hyper-Active Teens, Team X and How I Met Your BRAT.
Haha. Creative right? Wait till you see the video of their performances on the last night of the workshop.
Kay, on more personal stuff now. Haha. I have a confession to make. I've never left home without my family or friends with me before. EVER. This is like my first time going to a foreign place without knowing anyone and surviving four days there.
Haha. My roommate was awesome! Haha I'll always remember her as the first roommate of my life! Shoot I'm getting a bit sampat liao. Her name is Shu Wen and she's from PJ. And she's a prefect! (Reminds me a lot of my mom) Hey that's a compliment k! :P
The err not to say hard lar, embarrassing, is the correct word. The embarrassing part about sharing a room with somebody is.. [Well, I don't think I should get any further with this, haha.]
YEAH AND THE HOTEL WAS FREAKIN' COLD. All of us had to wear jackets when it comes to night time.
THE WHATs
We went to Mahathir's house on the second day and to a paddy field on the third day. To be perfectly honest, I think that Mahathir's house was a tiny bit boring. Haha. The usual stuff about how great Mahathir was as he was a doctor cum politician. And how he managed to study even though the first ice factory in Kedah beside his house was making a lot of noise.
The paddy field was awesome lah kay. The view was great! Although I was sweating like nobody's business. But it was worthwhile! Haha.
Group shot! :D
Can you find me?
Jason Lioh took this! See see see his blog address! And go read his blog! So sad to hear that he plans to shut it down. :(
So yeah, might as well post all the pictures I took over there. :P
The theme was "green".
They were giving us lessons on how to take a good photo and this was trial lar. :P The theme was "green". We had to take pictures of something green to be submitted and criticized by the facilitators in front of everyone. LOL. Kla it wasn't that chi gek lar.
The paddy field.
I wonder how it turns out to be next month?
Cuz it's harvesting season, if I'm not mistaken! :D
There were lots and lots of dragonflies flying around.
I wanted to capture one flying with the blue sky and the green field as the background but that would be very, very, immensely difficult for me to do it. :(
Err, another view of the field!
The farmer's wife and her kids.
Sorry I'm a horrible journalist. I've forgotten all their names LOL.
MY FAV PICTURE!
She was showing me the fishes they've just bought from the market and her smile is sooo natural!
My favourite picture among the rest!
He was "membaja"-ing sawah padi. Demo version.
Aww cracked soil. Look at the shell of a snail! There were actually quite a lot of them on the ground.
See see snail shell.
New technology. Compared to using buffalos.
The house on the left, the orange one is the farmer's house.

Taaddaa! To prove that we stayed up late eating junk food. XD
I actually had one with packets and wrappings of junk food sprawling on the table but lazy to find liao lah.
Spent the whole afternoon blogging d.
Haha oh well, dinner, now!
Oh wait, dinner has to wait. I haven't said anything about AFS interview yet! Yes, I went to apply for AFS. It was nerve-wrecking and a little bit scary but I might say, it went okay. I really hope I get it! OH PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE. *fingers crossed*
OWC bullshit.
Okay, the title may seem a bit harsh but yeah, that's how I feel. I don't intend to offend anyone. I'm just purely expressing my views on it.. (this gets a bit personal)
This post is based on this link.
Firstly, I don't think that it's the wife's fault if the husband strays. You mean to tell me that if the husband finds a prostitute and cheats on his wife, it's the wife's fault for not satisfying her husband? So it's okay for the husband to have an affair so long as he says that he is not satisfied with his sex life at home? And women exist just to satisfy men's desires? #bullshit
"Whatever he says, I must follow. It is a sin if I don't obey and make him happy." So if he ask me to eat poo to make him happy I must eat too? #bullshit
And why did they set up a polygamy club? One wife not enough? (I could go further but I'll just stop right here.) If no, why can't they do it the other way around? A wife marrying a few husbands to satisfy her sexual needs.
If you tell me you're not a sexist, I see no reason why it cannot be done the other way around. Since it's okay for men to have a few wives.
"Sex is a taboo in Asian society. We have ignored it in our marriages but it's all down to sex. A good wife is a good sex worker to her husband. What is wrong with being a whore ... to your husband?" she said.

Definition of the word whore from The Old English Dictionary:
| — n | |
| 1. | a prostitute or promiscuous woman: often a term of abuse |
| — vb | |
| 2. | to be or act as a prostitute |
| 3. | (of a man) to have promiscuous sexual relations, esp withprostitutes |
| 4. | ( |
So wives shouldn't be treated like proper respected women but they should be treated like prostitutes and sex slaves instead?
Note the "often a term of abuse" part. No wonder there's so much domestic violence going on.
Okay, if women at home have to be prostitutes for their husbands (this is getting really ridiculous) the husbands have to pay them money. So it becomes a mutual thing. You get sex from me, I get money from you. No feelings involved. No love, nothing about being a proper family. Just SEX.
Then what is marriage all about?
She said wives must go beyond the traditional roles as good cooks or good mothers and learn to "obey, serve and entertain" their husbands to prevent them from straying or misbehaving.
Side note: Kate Middleton removed the word "obey" from her wedding vows.
Kay, I don't know how to cook, clean, do household chores and raise children nevermind. I just have to know how to "obey, serve and entertain" my husband.
Entertain? In what way? Just say it lah she just has to be good in having sex. #bullshit
Indirectly, "disobedient wives are the cause for upheaval in this world" because men are not happy at
home and their minds and souls are disturbed, she said.
LOL farniee lah. Yes, yes go on and put the blame on women.
"When husbands come home, wives do not welcome their husbands with warm alluring smiles and
sexy dressing ... That is the reality today," she said.
What reality? This is democracy and justice okay! Why should wives dress in bras and panties to wait for their husband's return? Wives today work their butt off to earn some money WHILE they take care of their kids and handle everything at home! Talk about superwoman! Somemore want to turn them into a Victoria's Secret model? #bullshit
I agree with the "warm alluring smiles" part though. I mean, yeah. From the husband AND the wife.
I think there are more important issues going on to worry about rather than spend time on this kind of bullshit. Heck I don't even know why I've spent one hour of my life blogging this post because there are more things in life than this.

My toy.
I'm having one of the busiest and most hectic week of my life. And I'm kind of stressed out about it. In times like these, NIKON D3100 to the rescue!
Isn't it the cutest thing ever?
Say 'cute' then I'll treat you with a tiny little inspiring story.
Nono, also say 'Chien Huey takes awesome photos'.
SAY LAH.

Kla kla we were walking in town on the way to 1st Avenue and I either saw these two little kittens about 15 cm long on the pavement or I heard their pitiful meows first. Either one, me, as a kind hearted girl (okla WJ and Yapu were even kinder) bent down, extended my hand (into my bag and took out my camera) to pet one of them. You could tell they were so damn hungry because their meows were getting louder and louder it almost turned into a cry. We ran into 1st Avenue to find milk to ease their starvation but when we came out, THEY WERE GONE. Eventually, we found them in the arms of a caring young lady who said she was going to find shelter for them.
I haven't really lost faith in humanity. <3
You know, I want to go back to this shop someday. It's somewhere in Chulia Street. There's this part where it looks exactly like Olivander's Wand Shop which was OHSUM. I didn't take a picture of that because we caused the friendly yet cute old couple to bicker their heads off about where to find wooden planks in town LOL. SO DAMN CUTE SIA.
Hmm, the holidays are near. I'd want to photograph every single day. LOL. Am I good enough to be a part-time photographer someday? Or maybe I'll just make it as a hobby because I don't think I can earn much with that. And I'm not THAT good. : /
There's this Podcast on iTunes that teaches beginners how to make full use of their DSLR. It's called The DSLR Workshop. Awesome stuff. The only problems I had was his camera too pro liao. =.=
I can't find certain features on my camera and so.. : / Like auto focus mode and wert? I can't even choose which points to focus. AHHH where's the manual?

Keep your head held high, keep your middle finger higher.
Okay, as opposed to the title of this post, I've promised myself not to rant about how unhappy I am about a certain unfortunate event that happened lately.
Stuff I'm looking forward to:
Saturday 28/5 - The School Carnival? I think it should be fun. :D
Tuesday 31/5 - IMMA TAKE OFF BRACES YO.
Wednesday to Saturday 1/6-4/6 - Shall elaborate about that later. :D :D :D
Sunday 5/6 - Which idiot is going to miss Chocolate Fair in PISA?
Wednesday to Friday 8/6-10/6 - Imma going to be tortured in Super Kids Camp. :D
Right, so last Friday when I received this:
I jumped,
And jumped,
And jumped,
And continued jumping.
Just to give you an idea how it felt like. :D
Wei, sorry la I know you will think that I'm sampat but I've never applied for anything in my life. Not to mention submit my photos and write photo essays to go with it. I've never felt that way for such a long time. And I did it ALL by myself without my parents knowing the contents I've submitted. Well, got la but they forgot everything. Now they're asking me: "Got meh? What did you submit ha? I want to see."
I want to freaking go! Although I don't know how I'm going down to Alor Setar. LOL. And I've already replied her to tell her that I'm going. :D
BTW, this is not what I've mentioned in the previous post. Not so easy to tell you one. :D Heheh. Oh yeah, I'd probably have to go for an interview during the holidays. That'll be the first interview in my LIFE. Awsm stuff. :D If I fail that, I'll develop interview-phobia d. :(
See see see my holiday nearly action packed. :D

Drown in my own thoughts.
As I lay in bed
I hear my heart banging against the walls of my ribs
The all-so familiar sound of my heartbeat
The rhythmic beat
That courses blood through my veins
Filled my cluttered brain.
Ah the sign of being alive
How wonderful it is to be on the spinning ball
Suspended in the middle of space
Yet,
What do I actually feel?
How ironic it is
When it's the same heartbeat that is keeping me awake.
Memories of you flood back to me
Intense sadness I felt
I wish to shed a single last tear
For the story had such a beautiful ending.
Each single tear
Would never be the last.
ILY.
I always will.
I hear my heart banging against the walls of my ribs

This post has nothing to do with butterflies.
So yeah, decided to upload photo after such a long time. Can see anything ah? Though I'm not quite satisfied with this picture. I want new camera lenses in my wishlist. Eheheh. Big big long long one. So from a yard away can capture a beautiful photo of a delicate butterfly. Ok la I don't want to wish for too much. $$$. You know la. I'm so big and clumsy. Butterflies are afraid of giants. For fear that giants will trip something and fall right on them.
Shh, away with the nonsense. Nao nao, SS = Self Satisfaction = Syok Sendiri.
Hey hey, Tell you something. Very shuang lately I tell you after completing that. MEHEHEHEHEH. Wish me luck lar. If you don't I don't want to tell you what it is. Hehehe. Wish me luck then I get then I ma tell you loh. Psst. Can't wait. Envelope sealed. *fingers crossed* WHEEEEEE~
Be back when feel like blogging or maybe in a few week's time.
P/S: Me gonna take out braces in a month's time. Heheheh. <3

Some other.. Things to talk about.
Ehehehey, this is weird, so I decided to blog again, one week before the exams start. And I can assure you I'm dead. :D
Okla, something ticked me off again today, which I don't want to mention here because I'm a good person. *barfs* I shall learn to control my temper next time and smile at that sweet little sarcastic prefect when I get myself into this kind of situation again. Come to think of it, I only went crazy behind her [I did some stomping behind her]. I think I did quite well, dontcha think? And the rest of the day went quite well so yeah, no chance of ruining my mood there. :D
I wrote a poem for the Graduation Magazine. It's about High School Life lor. Dunno why some people say it's sarcastic. Sarcastic meh? Well, for every paragraph I got inspiration from different people. I really tried my hardest writing that liao, sorry if you don't feel anything from it. :( I'm kind of disappointed in myself for not producing something that will make the readers cry. *coughs coughs* And some people say it's a little bit cheesy. *shrugs* But I really tried. :'(
Yes, about Bronco. They've put him to sleep on Monday. Eepoh cried too. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, that's my aunt's old dog. The one who is older than me. Whose age can be compared to Albus Dumbledore's. The one who's blind. The one who is as blind as a bat and knocks on stuff when he is just merely roaming around the compound of the house. My cousin cried her eyes out, according to her mom and then stopped crying when Uncle Mike told her she could get a pet hamster back in Singapore. -.- So easy to replace a dog one ah?
I prayed for him. I hope he is happy! I didn't even get to see him for the last time. :( Nevermind, he'll be forever in my thoughts. Mom says he is suffering here. He should be in a better place now! Like what WL said, "where bones are grass and cats around every corner". Haha. He'll be happy. :)
There goes another afternoon of sleep.
I fell in love with raisins and Famous Amos Cookies leh. Although they don't match LOL. Definitely not! But I guess raisins are good for health? :D
I'm super duper hyper lately. SO damn optimistic. :D I LOVE LIFE. *runs away*

Hair + Taylor Swift + Pianos.
Someday, I'll look back at this picture and laugh until my head falls off.
Okay, so when I blog, I tend to get into this angry mood. That's why I didn't blog for so long because I was hyper lately. Err. Uncontrollable laughing and smiling at small little things. Like I've just had a head concussion or something. Yeah, that's it. I've lost my mind.
Now, the major thing that pissed me off today:
"Now I look terrible with this stupid short short hair! Ish!"
"Lol hair only"
"No. Its dam ugly!"
"Lol"
"Sunday u c then"
"Lol what if I had no hair?"
"U a.. Hm.. U always got de le"
"If"
"Er.. Just look ugly maybe. Lol"
"Oh"
Ok la, I'm here to tell the whole world in my secret little blog that I loathe people who judge others by looks. I'm absolutely against it. No hair so what? Not as beautiful as Megan Fox so what? Conventional beauty standards be damned! Don't EVER tell me that someone is weird because he or she is bald. You're the one that's weird. Get away from me.
And I love this:
"A 15 year old girl holds her 1 year old son; people call her a slut. But no one knew she was raped at 13. Make fun of someone for being fat, but you don't know that person has a serious medical condition that causes her to be obese. Call the old guy ugly, but.. you don't know he got a serious face injury after serving the country or saving a life. Re-post this if you're against bullying and stereotyping. :)"
From Facebook.
You don't know what other people had to go through. You're just an outsider, standing there blabbering nonsense as if you know everything. You think being bald is ugly? Do you know how difficult is it to go through life being laughed at by ignorant little dumbasses like you?
******************************
Okla I tell you my secret fantasy.
You know Taylor Swift right? (eh now not talking about the previous 'you' already ah. switch audience liao.)
You know her songs right?
When I listen to her songs, I go into this some sort of trance. And I feel so damn good after it. AHHHHHH!
Why? Because she writes about sweet sweet romantic relationships and plants all these false hopes into naive little girls like me and and and and you know what? I FELL FOR IT.
I-WANT-YOU-TO-SWEEP-ME-OFF-MY-FEET-NAO-OH-PRINCE-CHARMING.
I don't listen to sad songs. That includes Taylor Swift's too. I only listen to songs that make me feel awesome.
I can just randomly jump up and hug someone when I listen to Fearless. That's how insane I can be. Can go knock my head on the wall liao.
SEEE SPEAK NOW. ARGH. Can I do that in real life? LOL.
Her songs go deep deep deep deep into my heart k. I'M FLOATING. I'M FLOATTTIIINNNGGGG!
Now there's a perfect picture of my future love life in my mind. Good luck finding one! LOL.
I WANT TO BE THAT GIRL IN 'MINE'.
See la I so sampat. Better not continue liao.
And yeah, even if this is completely out of topic, here's a gentle reminder for anyone who plays the piano in front of me. I may fall in love with you within a minute or so. So please do not play with ANY emotions whatsoever or I'll stalk you for the rest of my life.
ANDRE PREVIN - AH VOUS DIRAI-JE, MAMAN.
Thanks to him. :)

Bobo.
Here's Bobo. Bobo turns 70 this month and he loves to nibble on people's fingers. Best not to break in to my house because you'll have to go through him first.
